Who We Are

Playing the best in urban Soul, Gospel, R & B, Soca, Reggae, Dancehall and Revival, Unique Radio Station is based in the UK.

Unique Radio broadcasts 24 hours per day, seven days a week and features a diverse selection of UK’s top DJs and presenters. From its popular morning shows; to celebrity interviews, music news and competitions,

Unique Radio has been broadcasting since 1993, serving the community near and far.  A key feature of the station is the important role it plays within the community it serves which is a multicultural and diverse community.

The station is recognised for it’s active support of various good causes through its Community Outreach. Over the years, it has heightened awareness of many issues, supported various charities such as cancer research (MacMillan), Sickle Cell (Sickle Cell Society), ACLT (African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust), Father Figures. Support for charity has extended to assistance given through the provision of clothing and foodstuffs to other causes, including the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami (2004), Hurricane Katrina (2005), the Haitian Earthquake (2010) and the Philippines’ typhoon Haiyan (2013).

These have been achieved through events and charity drives. Unique Radio has promoted and showcased unsigned acts, developed new talent as well as training and encouraging some of today’s leading DJs – many of whom started their career presenting on Unique Radio. These include well known names such as Jenny Francis, Robbo Ranx, Natty B, Gemo Speng, Martin Jay, Sugar Dread, DJ Ali, Vinny Ranks, Silverstar, DJ Quincy and Daddy Ernie
