Bishop Junior and Pastor Lorraine (Mercedes) are inseparable in most things. They have shared 42 years of happy married life and likes nothing better than sharing the good news about Jesus together. Their ministry has taken them far and wide to various countries such as South Africa, South Korea to name a couple, where they and the church has supported the needs of families facing poverty; children in need of schooling and supporting the vulnerable. In Zimbawe, they commissioned the digging bore-holes to provide water for the school children, so that they can I turn plant vegetation for sale to help support the school. Spreading the good news of Jesus has not only been at Church of God Evangelism on a Sunday morning, but on whatever platform is available. The experience they have had of broadcast on the Radio has been one of the most rewarding for them. It started when Bishop Junior was invited to Beat FM 101.9 because it was believed there needed to be some spiritual vibes to meet the needs of all the community. His spiritual vibes in the airwaves was well received. His genre was gospel reggae. He began with one slot on a Sunday mornings 6 -10am. But this increased Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. With his popularity he was affectionately known in the community as ‘Pastor.’

Mercedes, gradually learned the system and hosted the show too filling in on the occasions Bishop Junior could not be there. It worked well. They remained with the radio station until the owner sadly died. Radio is a vibrant place, with a high returns of loyal followers when presenters have something to say. As Bishop Junior and Mercedes would say… we’ve only just begun!
